Health Promotion & Prevention





The purpose of the Health Promotion and Prevention is to promote health by developing public health programs that prevent chronic diseases from occurring, detect chronic diseases at the earliest stages when they are most treatable and prevent further complications. Priority areas include diabetes, obesity, asthma, heart disease, stroke, cancer, falls, shingles, poor nutrition, physical inactivity and tobacco use.
